Coach's Comments:  The 4-A Midwest Regional was held at Oak Hollow GC.  NW Guilford won the Regional with a team score of 298, RJ Reynolds finished 2^nd with 304, and Porter Ridge finished 3^rd with 305.  Davie County finished in 8^th place with a team score of  323.  The War Eagles were trying to qualify for STATES for the 3^rd time in 4 years, but came up short.  Weather was again a big story.  The original date of Monday, May 6^th saw very rainy conditions as play began.  The lead group was 5 holes into the competition when play was delayed for 60 min.  Rain continued and the course eventually became unplayable, so the event was canceled and rescheduled for Thursday, May 9^th.

Thursday, May 9^th was a beautiful day for golf, but unfortunately, the War Eagles got off to a rough start.  During the conference season, the team never recorded a team score in the 160's, but the first 9 holes (the back 9) of Regional play produced a 165.  The front side was the easier side, but we pressed because of our poor start on the back and couldn't get anything going.  Chase Moore finished his senior season with a team best 77.

Special Notes:

-   The top 3 teams qualified for  the 4-A State Competition which will be held at Pinehurst #8 this    year.

-   Davie finished the season with an overall record of 40-20 (24-11 CPC).
